Each year, the Alamance Community Foundation offers scholarships to help students pursue higher education. Applications open on January 1, 2027. You will find a full timeline below.
Most scholarships are available to high school seniors, with some designated for students attending specific high schools and others open to students throughout Alamance County. We also offer a scholarship current college education majors and one for adult learners.
Below are descriptions of scholarships offered in the 2026 application cycle. Most will continue to be offered, and a few new scholarships will be added for the upcoming cycle. The updated list of 2027 scholarships will be available in mid-December.
2027 ACF Scholarship Timeline
January 1: Applications open
February 15: Last day to start an application
February 17: Applications due
February 23: Recommendations due (if applicable)
February 24-March 15: Applications reviewed by selection committees
April 1: Scholarship recipients notified
May-June: Award ceremonies (if applicable)
Application process:
Applicants will create an account and then answer a few questions to determine which scholarships are a potential match.
Applicants complete applications for all eligible ACF scholarships. The applications include answering questions about yourself and your higher education plans and in some cases requesting a copy of your transcript and getting recommendations.
Some questions are shared across applications, minimizing the amount of time you have to spend when applying for more than one scholarship.

ACF manages scholarship funds established by generous donors wanting to support individuals pursuing higher education while honoring special people or occasions.
Scholarships recognize achievement, assist with education costs and help build a future generation of educated humans and community leaders.
